ABSTRACT
This chapter offers a deconstruction of certain myths that have become associated with the process of urban regeneration in the 1980s and 1990s in British cities. It seeks to illustrate the multi-faceted representation of the process of urban regeneration and the ways in which this representation has established a definitional discourse of urban change. Both the anatomy of this discourse and its implications are examined.
