Two Forms of Explanation

In my response to Keith Ward’s contribution on ‘Two Forms of Explanation’ I shall concentrate on the second section of his presentation, ‘Theism and the priority of personal or value explanation’. The point Ward is dealing with in the first section seems convincing. Indeed, there is widespread disagreement among physicists about the extent to which laws of physics explain physical occurrences.
