I thought Moltmann got us off to a racing start by his way of looking backwards and forwards. Real hope for the future springs from an authentic redemption of the past. That’s a striking pattern of sense, recapitulating the Judaeo-Christian inheritance. It retraces the shape of the CE matrix – but it also has pretty universal applicability too.
