ABSTRACT
Chapter 12 treats the design of closure dams. Contrary to Chapter 11, little attention is given to the cross-section of the closing dam. The main issue in this schapter is the closing operation itself. The reader must attempt to understand the relation between narrowing the cross-sectional profile and the tidal motion.
