ABSTRACT
The development of technology was possibly the most significant economic, political and cultural force of the twentieth century. The sheer ubiquity of this second scientific revolution makes it of interest to a wide variety of academic concerns, including organizational studies, prompting the desire to understand the forces which drive and direct such development. This essay seeks to explore one impetus in particular – that of science fiction.
