ABSTRACT
Me (1999) is an innovative autobiographical work of non-fiction. In a series of independent chapters, Manrique intersperses his own experiences, first during his childhood and teenage years in Colombia and later as an adult in New York, with critical discussions of the three Latino writers from the perspective of their influence on him.
