ABSTRACT

Within the context of the city’s promotion of entrepreneurial partnerships the

present chapter reviews the establishment of an institutional framework for deliv-

ering the renewal programme, building on the existing experience of collaboration

with private sector interests, and focusing on the key delivery agencies. It

assesses the approaches undertaken to manage programme and project delivery

and the programming of renewal capacity; the realities of masterplan and

construction management activities; funding, procurement and performance

management concerns; and issues of safety and the management of risk. Finally,

it briefly discusses the issues involved in implementing a forward strategy, and the

Task Force’s exit strategy following the completion of its remit.
