ABSTRACT
Some of the consequences of the impact of the Little Ice Age have already become apparent in earlier chapters but the range of effects has been much wider than has so far been indicated. Even a sketch, as this must be, of the variety of impact on the natural and human environment of series of temperature changes over 1 or 2°C, such as that which made up the Little Ice Age, has to be extremely selective.
