ABSTRACT
Organized labour exists, nationally and internationally, and it may even be considered as a global social force. But the gap between the reality of its organi zation and strength and its potential remains immense. This chapter attempts to consider the current situation, what has made it as it is, why it is not what is needed and what must be done to move forward and realize organized labour's real potential.
