ABSTRACT

The Internet is cheap to use on an individual or departmental level (if not for the organisation) once a connection has been established, compared to traditional methods of publishing. It allows various forms of information dissemination, from proactive distribution to a large number of known addresses via email to the more passive act of publication on a Web site. The process of publication can also be relatively rapid compared to other media. These characteristics make it an ideal medium for the circulation of time-sensitive information that needs to be issued regularly to a large but specific audience. Job adverts are a prime example of this type of data and this chapter gives tips for finding and disseminating them online.
