BREAKING THE SILENCE: THE ROLE OF HIV-POSITIVE SPEAKERS IN AIDS EDUCATION AND INFORMATION

Abstract This paper describes the impact of people living with HIV, who speak out and publicly disclose their status, on themselves, their communities, and young people in particular. The data for this study is based on interviews with 75 HIVpositive speakers from Africa, Asia, and Australia, and focus group discussions with 117 young Australians.
