ABSTRACT
Awake fibreoptic laryngeal examination demonstrated a ‘ballvalving’ lesion in the laryngeal airway, directly between the vocal cords. He was scheduled for microscopic laryngoscopy and bronchoscopy for airway stabilization and removal of the lesion using a carbon dioxide laser under general anaesthesia.
