ABSTRACT
Water pollution is the contamination of water by foreign matter such as micro-organisms, chemicals, industrial or other wastes, or sewage in amounts likely to cause harm to living organisms. Polluted water can also chemically and physically damage industrial plant and equipment. Pollution causes deterioration in the quality of the water, making it unfit for its chosen use.
