ABSTRACT
After the terrorist assault on the World Trade Center in New York, citizenship education that promotes cross-cultural understanding is more important than ever. Some schools in largely monocultural communities are looking to forge partnerships with schools and other organizations in areas with diverse cultures drawing on a number of different faith communities.
