ABSTRACT
The events in this case took place approximately nine years ago. The case writer, a lecturer in Community and Youth Studies at a UK college of higher education, was 29 years old and had several years’ experience of teaching adults and training. The students had a median age of about 35. The class in focus was studying the subject of social justice.
