ABSTRACT
For children with special educational needs in a mainstream school, problems of bullying and victimisation may be especially important considerations. Often, just being different in a noticeable way can be a risk factor for being a victim. Also, in some cases these children have behavioural difficulties (acting out/aggression or withdrawal) which may make them more likely to get into situations where they act as a bully or victim.
