ABSTRACT
We shall now go through a considerable number of examples of words and wordgroups employed in the three ranks, but it will not be necessary to give examples of the most normal cases, substantives as primaries, adjectives as secondaries, and adverbs as tertiaries. In some cases the rank is indicated in the form of the word concerned, but that is not always the case.
