ABSTRACT

In this last part, Christine Sylvester, Eva Rathgeber and Jane Parpart address some of postmodern feminism’s concerns (including the issues of representation, identity and knowledge raised by the other contributors) within the context of development practice. In looking more closely at the development enterprise itself, they go beyond the (theoretical) postmodern feminist critiques of development theory. In so doing, the authors show that postmodern feminist thought has implications for development practitioners as well.
