ABSTRACT
Today’s litigious social climate requires an extensive testing regimen for any
new product that is placed on the market by industry. The acceptance of new
products, cosmetics, household goods, industrial chemicals and pharmaceuticals
is based in part on the use of non-animal testing methods to evaluate safety.
