ABSTRACT
Provided that much of the reading vocabulary of a book is familiar to the learner, the advantage of a repetitive approach is that skills already mastered receive further practice, while new learning takes place through increased rehearsal and repetition of the content. In addition, the child has the opportunity to acquire other reading and writing skills incidentally.
