ABSTRACT

An environment that is good for computers is usually good for people. A clean, dust-free, dry, warm, well-ventilated environment is good for IT equipment and good for pupils and teachers. However, there are a number of health problems that have been associated with using computers. Very often the association is speculative not proven. Most health problems occur when users make regular and intensive use of computers. Some may occur in schools but most will not. However, it is prudent to be aware of the possible impact of using computers on teachers’ and pupils’ health as existing health problems may be exacerbated by relatively low usage.
