ABSTRACT
The principles of haemorrhage control are to turn off the tap and to replace circulating blood volume. Bleeding is controlled by direct pressure initially. Haemorrhage control will be considered in the situation of hysterectomy, bleeding from the sacrum and pelvis and in the situation where the bleeding is not obviously coming from the pelvic organs.
