ABSTRACT
Pulmonary oedema can present frankly with pink frothy sputum or less floridly with breathlessness, tachycardia, cool peripheries, cyanosis and basal crepitations on chest examination.
The immediate diagnosis is usually obvious; what may be less obvious and is of importance in the management of the underlying cause.
