Many of the points mentioned will be reinforced and described in greater detail in the ensuing chapters. The reader may find it useful, therefore, to concentrate initially on the team structure and function. After studying Chapters 2, 3 and 4, this chapter should then be re-read so that the clinical issues described can be considered.
