ABSTRACT
Ethics plays a role in all day-to-day interactions between people, even though we are often not aware that it does so. In our dealings with our children, friends and relatives we take it for granted that we should be fair and honest. These ethical issues are extended into our working lives, for, if we are honest at home, we do not expect to be dishonest at work. However, there is sometimes a clash between ethics and culture, and that is why we feel that the issue needs to be addressed here.
