It has to be admitted that reading much of the literature on structuration by both Giddens and his critics is hard work. However, in addition to Giddens’ own work cited above, the reader by Bryant and Jary (1991)—including a reply to his critics by Giddens (1991)—is a fairly accessible introduction.
