ABSTRACT
The rising estradiol concentrations provoked by ovarian stimulation may often activate the positive feedback effect on the anterior pituitary and induce a surge of luteinizing hormone (LH) discharge before the developing follicles have matured. Premature luteinization is an annoying and not infrequent occurrence during ovarian stimulation with gonadotropins.
