Pulsatile gonadotropin releasing hormone
Pages 4

Gonadotropin relasing hormone (GnRH) is a decapeptide, made up of ten amino acid residues. It is a neurohormone synthesized by nerve endings in the anterior hypothalamus which courses the very short journey (about 1 cm) from the anterior hypothalamus to the anterior pituitary in the portal vessels. There it releases follicle stimulating hormone (FSH) and luteinizing hormone (LH).
