Once the decision has been taken to use ICT as part of the science lesson, the next step is to decide which software is to be used. This needs to be considered carefully, as the software is the medium by which a significant element of the lesson will be delivered. Mention was briefly made during the previous chapter of the need to select and use software that is appropriate in ensuring that the teaching and learning objectives are met. This chapter expands on this.
