ABSTRACT
The aim of this chapter is to outline, review and provide a critique of health promotion approaches and perspectives that have been developed and adopted to promote health with black and minority ethnic communities in the UK. A review of changing historical perspectives in relation to social policy and black and minority ethnic communities will be attempted and strategies proposed for developing anti-racist practice.
