ABSTRACT
Was God a woman at the dawn of Religion (Stone 1977:17)? The Hebrew god, as described in the Hebrew Bible (Old Testament), was not. The Hebrew god’s gender, from the very beginning as documented in the Bible, was almost invariably referred to as M (male/masculine).
