Fa The god of destiny of the fetish worshippers of Benin. This god has a special name for each follower, and is consulted through his priests on every occasion of import. The basic assumption is that human destiny is fixed only within certain limits, and that by consulting one’s Fa one can obtain advice as to which course of action is the less likely to have ill effects.
