ABSTRACT

Ever since Freud presented his ground-breaking psycho-analytic theory of human development, the frontiers of understanding have been pushed further and further. The object of study is not something tangible and physically measurable, so the theories that have been advanced remain open to argument, and argument does indeed continue.
