ABSTRACT
Poet and novelist As one of the founding members of the Italian avantgarde, Palazzeschi (the pseudonym of Giurlani Aldo) not only revolutionized Italian literature earlier in the twentieth century with his antiliterary work but, through his writing’s ironic and self-reflexive parody, also offered an early example of postmodern sensitivity in Italian culture.
