Pazienza, Andrea

Cartoonist, visual artist A veritable legend among Italian cartoonists, Pazienza often claimed to have begun drawing at the age of eighteen months. What is certain is that, in the early 1970s, while still in high school in Pescara, he participated in various artistic activities and exhibited numerous paintings and drawings with the Convergence collective. In 1974 he enrolled in the DAMS (School of Art, Music, Spectacle and Dance) at the University of Bologna, soon becoming involved in the student movement which would explode into the tragic events of 1977 (see Radio Alice).
