ABSTRACT
In this final chapter we discuss the key themes that have emerged from our examination of underachievement in schools. We also examine the likely impact of government policies on underachievement and provide an analysis of further issues that need to be considered by the government. The final section concludes by outlining implications for policy and practice for policy makers and practitioners.
