ABSTRACT
The leader resumes her mission in Hall of Oblivion (Raum der Verges* senheit). At first Wigman dances alone, flanked by the group of women. Finally, they join her, magnifying her invocation of the dead. But as soon as the chorus of spirits reappears, the women flee once again. The choreographer remains, continuing her attempt to animate the chorus of spirits, but darkness soon blots out her figure and evokes the invisible voices of the fallen soldiers.
