ABSTRACT
Blunt and penetrating injuries to the eyes, adnexae and orbits are common. They arise as a result of trauma in five major instances: road traffic accidents, industrial accidents, sport and recreational activities, domestic accidents and assault. Careful evaluation is required to ensure accurate assessment of the injury. It is essential not to miss any sight-or life-threatening pathology.
