ABSTRACT
Strictly speaking the term posterior uveitis refers to inflammation of the posterior uvea (choroiditis), but generally the term encompasses choroiditis, retinitis, retinal vasculitis and when present, associated vitritis. Posterior uveitis per se is unusual and normally co-exists with a degree of anterior chamber activity i.e. a panuveitis.
