ABSTRACT

There are many diseases in which the fields of ophthalmology and dermatology overlap. Dermatological conditions may present to the ophthalmologist with involvement of the eyelid alone, or in association with other skin lesions. There are also many systemic diseases which have both ophthalmic and dermatological manifestations. The advice of a dermatologist may be useful in the management of these ophthalmic problems, particularly in patients with external eye disease.
