ABSTRACT

In virtual reality, we can go to anyone, anywhere, anytime, and at rapidly diminishing cost. We can acquire almost any piece of information on any topic, and use it as we choose. Thus, we can transcend nearly all the limits which inhibit learning: of space, time, status, and situation. In virtual reality, we have a means of communication with which we can potentially solve all the problems we discussed of access to and within the academy. The technology of virtual education gives us the freedom to escape all the impediments of history and nature. It seems the perfect medium for mentoring.
