ABSTRACT

Before the subject of baptism is discussed in assembly, it is most helpful if the theme of water has already been studied – (see pp. 132-33) the lovely feeling of being clean after a particularly dirty job, the life-giving drink of water to a thirsty person, the uses of water in our daily lives, etc. This can lead to a most natural thanksgiving service to God for his daily provision. Strong links can then be drawn between being made clean, receiving life, daily living and baptism.
