In Britain today, there are many synagogues. Before involving the children in a class project, the teacher will need to make a preparatory visit, in order to establish whether the local synagogue is an Orthodox one, or whether it is one of the Reform or Progressive synagogues. There will be some differences in styles of worship, etc.
