At any one time there will be a significant number of teachers
who have never experienced an Ofsted inspection. Whether this is because they have only recently qualified, or have missed it by
chance through changing jobs, there’s no doubt that this can create anxiety, not to mention an air of mystery around the whole process. Being inspection-aware, even in the most general of terms, can help to demystify what Ofsted is all about and help to ensure that when the event does happen, it is simply experienced as a potentially useful feature of life in a school.
