ABSTRACT
In the preceding twenty-six chapters, you have had an introduction to the basics of Dutch grammar, perhaps practiced conversation, worked your way through some elementary readings, and in the last chapter read three stories that were not written in simplified form for this book. We hope you have been gratified to discover how quickly you have been able to move into normal conversation and unedited reading, in other words how accessible the Dutch language really is.
