ABSTRACT
One of the most startling impressions of even a cursory scan of case files concerning adult bullying is the ingenuity that perpetrators have shown in finding ways of inflicting misery on their victims. There appears to be an almost boundless set of strategies for causing harm and an infinite supply of enthusiasm available for doing so. Although many adult bullies are simple opportunists, there are as many whose Machiavellian talents are put to use in finding devious ways of bringing pain to their victims without discredit to themselves.
