ABSTRACT

The preceding chapters in this book have considered both generic and specific issues related to learning and teaching in higher education. A variety of perspectives and contexts have been given to show that teaching and learning requires a flexible and open approach, as well as an understanding of how students learn and the theories of learning and teaching lecturers take into the teaching situation. I will conclude with a personal reflection on how I have tried to develop awareness towards learning and teaching, as well as individual and academic development.
