ABSTRACT
The examination in solo performance poses especial challenges to the candidate for in this one is alone in a strange room paired by an examiner who is unknown. Additionally there is a concentration of attention on the candidate’s response to this situation. It is for this reason that the bulk of this chapter concentrates on the solo performer at the examination.
