ABSTRACT

Today the builder has a bewildering variety of machines at his disposal for a large variety of operations. These are largely earth-moving machines and transport: the trades that have become largely mechanized are excavator, concretor and joiner. There are also a large variety of portable powered tools, from the well-known drill to intricate machines that can be used with profit on site work or in site workshops. Much time can be saved by the use of machines and this can lead to considerable savings in costs, if the plant is well maintained and well managed.
