ABSTRACT
Cement generally Ordinary Portland cement (OPC) is a type of hydraulic cement. The manufacture of Portland cements in the UK is closely controlled and can be assessed in relation to a range of British Standard specifications. Care is needed when using imported cements to assess their quality and their influence on the durability of concrete mixes.
